In the fall of 2021, a father and his then five-year-old son Sebastian were waiting in line to get a pizza. Before them, there was a crying little girl and her mother, who was trying to see if she had the $14 needed to buy a pizza. Sebastian approached the little girl, like a child would, to say that he would happily share his pizza with her. As it turned out, the girl’s mother had enough money to place her daughter’s pizza order.
With pizzas in hand, the two kids gave the pizza maker the biggest smiles anyone has ever seen, and sat next to each other on a park bench, enjoying their fragrant and delicious pizzas.
It is an honor that Master Chef, Chris Bianco, created the official "Pizza for a Smile" logo. Chris' artistry inspired Sebastian and Nina Rose in creating their own logo to express how they feel about the project. This led to them being appointed as the first "Pizza for a Smile" Ambassadors at Large.
Ambassadors are individuals—children, and adults, alike— who share a love of pizza and wish to make a positive impact in their community and neighborhood.
In addition, Ambassadors help spread the news about the initiative so people can learn about the mission to foster support aimed at feeding the body and soul of anyone in need.
Each qualifying Ambassador will receive a special personalized pin with the Pizza for a Smile's logo that can be displayed at any time by the initiative's Ambassador.
We invite you to become Ambassadors. Please take a picture with the Pizza for a Smile logo, and email it to [email protected], or tag our social media accounts.
Download the official logo and share it with your family members, friends and your favourite local pizzeria and restaurant (dowload the Pizza for a Smile's logo here).
